Ng Tung Chai, Hong Kong

This hike has at least 4 waterfalls on the way…Pretty interesting! Yes, in Hong Kong too! If you worry about the heat of the sun, then this hike is for you, there’s literally plenty of shades along the way, pretty much all the way. The trees and the huge grasses around gives you fresh air too! But bear in mind that you still had to bring enough water with you (tip: you can freeze your water before going out! if you wanna enjoy cold water for this journey).
This is definitely one of the most popular retreats from the hustle and bustle of the city during summer, I can say so because there were lots of hikers on a Sunday when we went there! πŸ™‚ So if you want the falls by yourself, maybe choose to hike on weekdays.
Below photos is the starting point of the hike:

Some photos as well that you can refer to, to briefly know what to expect along the way:

Now, there are 4 waterfalls along the way, but to be honest..do not expect a big swimming area that you can enjoy because they are pretty small. πŸ™‚ But if there’s not much people, then it’s probably big enough for you to soak and swim in cold water. You enjoy your lunch (packed sandwiches or picnic yummies) around the waterfall area.

From these photos, you can tell that we actually really hike up and above to see the differences of each waterfalls. If you think there is nothing more in Hong Kong? Then you’re wrong, these photos are unfiltered and really wonderful.

To go here is very easy, you just simply get an MTR to Tai Wo Station and either get bus 64K or get a taxi directly to the starting point. Taxi will only cost you around 30-40 hkd and you will be dropped off at the exact starting point of the hike. There are lots of signage on the path so you will never get lost. πŸ˜‰
