Shek O Beach, Hong Kong
This is a beachside village located on the south-eastern part of Hong Kong Island and it is also the neighboring beach with “The Big Wave Bay” (you can refer to my previous post). What i love about Shek O is the number of restaurant choices the moment you arrive at the bus stop, you can choose to eat according to your budget, there are grilling stations too. However, there is one very nice and tasty restaurant fronting the beach and yes…only one as the others are already along the road. It’s our second time visiting “Cococabana” restaurant, the view is just amazing from your table (play the video above so you will see). In the menu, you can order Ala Carte or their Set Menu for 2 person that charges $410 HKD per head. This time, we opt for the set menu…As you may see from the video & photos below, it already is tasty and indeed so delicious.
So, after this amazing meal…we went down to the beach and just relaxed under the shade of a tree. You don’t have to worry if you can’t bring your own mat because there are so many locals asking everyone around if you want to rent umbrellas or sun lounge chairs. There are shops that sells floaters too. Pretty cozy there.
Take the MTR Island line (Red Line) to Shau Kei Wan Station and Exit A3. Find Bus number 9 which is just located right when you exit. Now be mindful when you reach to the stop where it says Big Wave bay, don’t go down with the others as Shek O beach is the last stop, which has the Shek O sign.
